    Description

    Over the past 38 years here in Mansfield, I've had a few of these ... but ... in the last 15 years
    THEY have VANISHED
    .  The prison was supposed to open in
    1896
    and they did start taking in prisoners but the building was not actually finished until
    1910
    .  This mug, with the Typical German Round ----
    MADE IN GERMANY----
    backstamp, certainly WAS used in both periods, going right with the correct age of this cup.
    Fine German Hard Porcelain
    with a
    BOLD, FLAWLESS, NO WEAR to the FULL VIEW OF THE PRISON as a COLORFUL TRANSFER
    ...trimmed in GOLD no less and of course matching yellow gold handle.
    I have NEVER SEEN ONE THIS PERFECT!
    It might be fun to find the "issue" plan ...

    of the Opening.  In any case a pretty nice quality for whatever the reason.  Right at

    (NOT including the handle.)  This "solidifies" the actual Original high quality of the Building and Original Start of the Prison... that being the Rehabilitation of young "customers" 😁 .... that certainly took a turn for the ultimate terrible 1920-30's..... and the one incident sending 150 inmates to the basement!  (10 inmates to a small single cell in the hole .. no water or food for one week!)
