RARE NYPD MEMORABILIA!
THREE (3) 1960’s Moroccan Leather Notepad Holders.
Gifts to NEW YORK CITY POLICE SURGEONS at annual dinner.
Lovely black leather with embossed CITY OF NEW YORK POLICE SURGEON Badge on 2 covers.
Each Measures: 7” x 4”.
Interiors have NEVER- USED perforated notepads, zipper compartment, leather pullout embossed in gold: “STAMPS,” compartment for “LETTERS” (also embossed in gold), & mini flip-up address book (in one of the cases; missing the complete address book pages in the other 2). Leather pen holders (pens missing).
One case embossed in gold interior:
NYCPD SURGEON MAY 5, 1964.
2 cases embossed: ENGLISH MOROCCO (leather).
1 case embossed: HANDGRAINED MOROCCO (leather).
My late father-in-law was a medical doctor & a proud, dedicated POLICE SURGEON for the NYPD.
These cherished notepad holders belonged to him & he kept them all these years.
Nice vintage condition. Notepads show mild age spotting, as expected. Only 1 holder has intact address “book.”
