LAPD “Hot Sheet”1964 Police Memorabilia

This is an actual LAPD Stolen and Wanted Vehicle sheet, mimeographed for a LAPD roll calls on TUESDAY, June 16,1964. These were created from the teletype from Cal DMV. Before each watch roll call the "Hotsheets" were produced for all attending policeman (In those days there were only "Policemen"). Each attending policeman took one and placed it on the lighting device in a police patrol car after leaving roll call. That was depicted on several "Adam 12" '60's - 70's LAPD inspired TV programs. This "HOTSHEET" was one of what was left from that roll call! It was not used but is an original in that no one took it to use, but the date shows it is not new. There are two holes punch on the side for storage. The license numbers are no longer valid and some plate numbers were added by detectives for a plate being wanted for other than being stolen.
