    when the speed limit was 55 MPH. The speed limit was lowered during those days to conserve fuel. These bills were given out at fairs, schools, speaking engagements and in local Highway Patrol stations. Front shows two officers and the badge. Back shows the methods of law enforcement transportation; motorcycle for quick freeway and urban response, fast late model automobiles fitted for law enforcement, airplanes for selective clocking and enforcement of safe driving laws and speed limits as well as search and rescue, and the helicopter for fastest response and surveillance or evacuation.
