    Description

Up for auction is Mickey Mouse Bread card  issued with each loaf  of  LONG BUTTER KRUST AND BIG LOAF  Bread in 1936-1937   Burdick list the series as D52 in the American Card Catalogue.  Several different bakeries issued this series as well  It was fairly common for the different regional bread makers to issue the same series of cards as promotional premium inserts with their bread.  The images and formats generally stayed the same, each company just put their name on the cards.  Apparently there are 96 different cards in the series in total.  Each card features a beautifully illustrated Image on Mickey in some kind of adventure with a caption written below explaining the action on the card.  There is also a small copyright Walt Disney Enterprises written on the front of each card.  Each Card  measures  2 3/4  inches by  4 1/4 inches approximately.   The card does have a small sliver of paper missing from the TOP edge.  That is common with many bread cards apparently they were secured to the bread wrapper by this strip of paper and in most cases you had to tear the piece off to release the card..   The card does have a light bottom edge bend, and a corner crease.  It has strong color and i think displays well.   I have scanned the front and back of the card fairly large so you can determine the condition for yourself.  This would make an excellent display piece.  It would look fantastic if framed and hung,
Were else can you get such a wonderful Disney Mickey Mouse Image of this age and quality this inexpensive?

Due to my work schedule and distance to the post office I am only able to ship  Monday Mornings
