    Description

Another coin from my personal collection.
The 1838 GR-16 is rare, rated R-4 in Dick Graham's book, but it is even more difficult to find than this rating suggests. The easiest obverse identifier for the GR-16 to see on this coin is the die crack rising up to the right from the 3rd dentil left of 1 in the date. On the reverse, the easiest identifiers to see are the lump between the bases of U N and especially, the build-up between D S which curves around under T E D. Looks like a comma.
