    Description

    Up for auction is a very nice 1812 capped bust half dollar. I see no hairlines, but it is darkly toned. I would grade it as an XF. Using the fifth edition of Don Parsley's Overton guide to US Early Half Dollar Varieties, and Glenn Peterson's Guide to Attributing Bust Half Dollars, I've determined this coin to be O-115. This is a no reserve auction so bid accordingly and have fun. I have other bust halves up for auction so be sure to take a look.
