01479-92 /02412-92 transformer for Zareba,Blitzer,Red Snapr'( and others) 100/200 mile fencer. Condition is New. Shipped with USPS First Class Package.The most common symptom of a failed transformer is a "dead" fencer (no timing pulse or output) however other parts that fail can cause the same symptom .The following information is for qualified technicians only.Be careful when servicing this fencer because the large white cylindrical capacitor that is mounted to the inside of the back cover can hold a significant amount of voltage even when the fencer has been unplugged for a long time.It is always best to discharge the capacitor before any other service is performed. To test the transformer,unplug the fencer from AC power and discharge the capacitor .Disconnect the wire jumpers from J8A and J9A on the transformer board and measure with an ohm meter across J8A and J9A.If the transformer is good you should read 1 ohm or less, if the transformer is bad you will probably measure infinite ohms/open circuit.If you're still unsure if your transformer is bad please contact me before ordering because there is no return on this part.I will ship up to two transformers for one shipping fee.Thank you.
